At the beginning of the month I attended The Clothes Show at Birmingham NEC twice, one with my friend from work and one with my blogger pass. Twice the fun, twice the spending! This year is the last year it will be in Birmingham, as next year they are moving to Liverpool for a city wide takeover called the British Style Collective. Even though its moving I am most definitely purchasing a ticket for next year, as I have only been last year and this year so would be interesting to see what Liverpool has to offer!
The fashion show was wonderful as per usual with multiple live acts, amazing dancers and beautiful clothes/models. I got to see the show twice which I was so thankful for as I loved it so much! The soundtrack to the whole show was so good I felt myself wanting to dance in my seat!
There were so many stalls to look around while we were there that I felt like I at least missed a few. But I did manage to get a fair few goodies this year which I cannot wait to try! Also we jumped into another photobooth while we were there to add another photo our collection from last year. I managed to find an electronic version of this on their facebook page which is so cool!
Now onto the good bit, sharing with you lovely lot what goodies I got from the Clothes Show. Most of the bigger brands had amazing deals and goodie bags up for grabs which I most definitely took advantage of! Bearing in mind I had saved up a nice chunk of money to attend the Clothes Show with this year as I knew I was going twice so was kind of expecting to go crazy, but I don’t think I went THAT crazy. I mean I could of bought A LOT more but I don’t think my poor arms would cope!
With my press pass I received the Show Guide and Limited Edition Clothes Show Barry M Nail Polish which would of normally been £5 to purchase which is so generous!
I also picked up this wax melter from Pretty Parrot which came with 5 melters and a bag of tealights for £5
W7 also had a 5 items for £10 offer so I picked up a couple of products I wanted to try. I love how some of their products look like a dupe for high end, for example that W7 eyeshadow palette pictured above reminds me of the ones from MAC and the packaging of the face primer reminds me of Smashbox.
Barry M had a goodybag up for grabs for £10 which contained all of the above which I was super impressed by as each nail polish alone costs about a fiver!
Models Own had a ‘4 items £10 and free goodybag’ offer and above are the beauties I chose. As you can see I took advantage of this offer twice, one on the Friday and one on the Sunday.
And as I took advantage of the offer twice, I received 2 goodybags and all of the products inside are pictured above. Not too bad for a freebie eh?
On the Friday I saw A LOT of girls wandering round with carrier bags which looked just like Kylie Cosmetics. So ultimately I was on a hunt to find where they had got them from. I believe it was a company called ‘Kiss XOXO’ – not 100% though. But they were selling exact replicas of the Kylie LipKits and Eyeshadows. So, curious as to see the quality of these products I purchased one in CandyK (which I already have from Kylie Cosmetics to compare) Mary Jo K, and as I bought 2 LipKits I got the Bronze palette for £5 and for £10 a LipKit that is considerably cheaper than the real deal!
And I could not resist taking advantage of the deals at Spectrum. I picked up the above set for £30 which is amazing! These brushes are so beautiful I just don’t want to dirty them up with makeup!
And last but not least, in the Bloggers Lounge on Sunday there was a brand called Freya giving away beautiful night dresses and offering a free bra fitting. I love this nightdress and it was so generous of them to gift us them!
