D.I.Y Epic Hot Chocolate

What you will need:
  • Hot chocolate powder (I use the Options Belgian Chocolate Brownie)
  • Milk (I use semi-skimmed)
  • Syrup – Optional (I use the Costa Set)
  • Big Marshmallows (I use Princess ones)
  • Squirty Cream 
  • Sprinkles (I use chocolate curls, mini marshmallows and white chocolate stars)
  • Dusting (I use vanilla and cinnamon)
  • Sauce – Optional (I use the strawberry ice cream sauce)

What to do:

  1. Boil the kettle and add 4 of the marshmallows to the bottom of the mug/cup of  your choice
  2. Pour in the hot water and fill the mug 3/4 full
  3. Add the milk (and syrup)
  4. Add the hot chocolate powder
  5. Gently mix so none is spilt 
  6. Squirt the cream on top of the hot chocolate
  7. Add the sprinkles of your choice
  8. Make a swirl of the sauce (optional)
  9. Finish it off by dusting the powder on top
  10. ENJOY

I love making my hot chocolates this way because by adding the marshmallows then the hot water gives the marshmallows chance to melt a bit giving a fluffy creamy texture to the hot chocolate. And adding the powder last I find leaves a frothy top to the hot chocolate which is delicious.
