There is just something about refreshing your hairstyle which can give you an instant mood and confidence boost. Ever since I was little, I have always been updating my hair, whether it was it’s colour or it’s style. And after having my hair long with a middle parting and an almost non-existent fringe for quite some time, I decided it was time to give it an update, and the 10th Feb was the day!
I love having my hair long, after all it has taken me at least 3 years to grow it to where it is now. However, I found it was starting to get in the way again so needed a good few inches chopped off. It was so long it kept getting caught in my bag straps and took me forever to brush and dry. Also, when I was skating I found I had to tie it up and then plait it or wear it in a bun as the sheer weight of it when it was loosely tied flinged me off course, which was not good.
So here is me, the day of the hair cut and restyle before I made my way to the hairdressers.
And this is me after, I decided to have a couple inches taken off the length and have a soft full fringe cut in. I used to have one when I was younger and a few years ago Mike cut me one in and after looking and photos the other week, I really wanted to give it a go again. As I found when my fringe was long that I used to constantly tuck it behind my ears, and as my hair naturally doesn’t have any volume, it started to make me look like an egg. So I thought that having a full fringe softly added would make it look so much better and would not get in the way as much. And I am absolutely in love with it!
