Soph x Makeup Revolution Eyeshadow Palette
The moment I saw her announcement video I knew I HAD to have this eyeshadow palette. And having a shade called cup of tea massively sold me! I love a good YouTuber collaboration but most seem to be with higher end brands which is not nice on my bank balance. Which is why I welcomed this one with open arms, at only £10 for the palette for 24 shades, it is a bargain palette. I have used makeup revolution shadows in the past but since purchasing other higher end palettes I seem to reach for them more. Soph is one of my favourite YouTubers and I really enjoy watching her videos so this collaboration was right up my street.
There is also a highlighter palette in this range, however I decided to just get the eyeshadow one as I’m not really a highlighter kind of girl. The fact that she designed the packaging herself using her own water colours is amazing and gives it that personal touch. I love how the lettering and the paint flecks are in metallic gold. If the packaging is anything to go by, we are in for a treat with the palette inside it. So lets open it up and have a look and the colours shall we!
In this palette there are 15 matte shades and 9 shimmer shades, which is such a nice balance. My go-to eye look is mainly a matte neutral eye with the odd pop of coloured glitter if I’m feeling extra jazzy that day! The range of colours in this palette is so good, there is a nice mixture of neutral and vibrant shades, therefore you will be able to create SO many beautiful eye looks with it. To show you as an example, I have created this look below using the second one in on the bottom right, right one on the third row, shimmery green, shimmer blue and the light white colour.
I definitely am in love with this palette and can see me getting a lot of use out of it. For the price I was rather skeptical of the shadow quality and pigment. But my oh my, they are so pretty and really impressed me, and for only £10 it is an absolute bargain! It is available online on the tam beauty site which is where I purchased mine when it was first released. But it is also available in Superdrug!
